The Isle of Skye can be found nestling on the rugged north-west coast of the Highland region of Scotland, part of an island chain known as the Inner Hebrides. Skye is famed for it`s rugged beauty, dramatic history and diverse wildlife.
PLACES TO EAT
There are many wonderful places to eat on the Isle of Skye. A few we would recommend for good food and drink to suit a range of budgets are Café Arriba, The Caledonian Cafe, Kinloch Lodge and The Three Chimneys.
Also in Portree we have a good Indian Restaurant as well as a Chinese Takeaway and two Fish and Chip shops, not forgetting the Seafood Restaurants, Harbour View, Lower Deck. and Sea Breezes
THINGS TO DO
There are lots of things to do on the Isle of Skye including Paintballing, Horse Riding, Boat trips, Swimming or going to the Cinema. Visit the historic Dunvegan Castle, go Canoeing at the White Wave centre or even hire a bike or rent fishing equiptment. Many of the local pubs and bars also offer live music throughout the week. The choice is yours!

There are many interesting shops within range of the Cottage, offering everthing you'd need! From outdoor and walking gear to classic Skye woolens. There is also a little Co-op just down the road, having your homebase in Portree gives you the most freedom to explore this beautiful Island.
